Title: Lost Connection Size: 1.5 x 1.2m Medium: Oil on canvas Style: Impressionist Date: 2009-07-16 Price: £3500.00 Information: Title; Lost connection Medium; Oil on canvas Style; Impressionist Size; 1.5 x1.2m A man is walking a dog early in the morning, the sun is streaming through the trees casting long golden shafts of light, a Robin sits on a branch making the most beautiful song but the man does not hear it becuase he is talking on a mobile phone and only partialy conscious of the beauty that surrounds him. He is completely unaware of all the wild animals that live there and are aware of his presence, standing still to watch this alien to thier world, wondering what he will do! Lost connection is about our ever increasing distance from nature and all the wonders and magic that exist as part of that. It is about how we "visit" natural places to see them, but are no longer part of them, and how we actualy only see a fraction of what's really there. |

Working from photographs - I began the epic task of creating these beautiful animals in their natural habitat. The unusual tree was fascinating to paint and the grasses painstaking.
